Day 1   Saturday, February 6, 2021 International flight to Mexico City

Day 2  Sunday, February 7, 2021 Mexico City

Day 3 Monday, February 8, 2021 Mexico City to Valle de Bravo  

Overnight: Valle de Bravo Meals included: B-BL

After breakfast, we will depart for Valle de Bravo in the State of Mexico. En route, visit “Piedra Herrada”, the newest sanctuary opened for viewing the Monarch butterflies. This area is “wilder” than other sanctuaries and often provides a more remote nature experience. After lunch, we will continue to Valle de Bravo, named “magical town” (Pueblo Mágico) in 2005, with its terracotta-tiled roofs, iron balconies and cobbled streets.  After settling into our hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore and dine.

Day 4 Tuesday, February 9, 2021 Valle de Bravo

Overnight: Valle de Bravo Meals included: B-BL-D

Today, enjoy your private city tour of Valle de Bravo, take the Tranvía and tour this charming town, see the artificial Lake Avandaro, the Municipal Boardwalk and Dock where many bars and restaurants are located, some floating alongside the dock. End your tour with lunch at Nuestro Restaurante. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace.

Day 5 Wednesday, February 10, 2021 Valle de Bravo to Morelia

Overnight: Morelia Meals included: B-BL-D

After checkout and breakfast, you will continue to Morelia,  a city in the state of Michoacán, that has stopped in the time, with its calm streets that remain silent witnesses of the history that has been accumulating in every nook and corner. En route, visit the Sanctuary of “El Rosario” in the state of Michoacán, the largest sanctuary of the Monarch Butterfly in Mexico. Hike uphill along a 3-mile path, where you will see butterflies clinging to Oyamel trees. *See notes below for more information. Later in the afternoon, continue to Morelia, the capital of Michoacan.  Tonight’s dinner will be served at the Restaurant Lu.  

Day 6 Thursday, February 11, 2021 Morelia

Today, with your local guide, explore the Morelia, considered one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico. Morelia is a lively city endowed with a university where the traditional life is very active. The streets of the central district are lined with colonial buildings with arches, baroque facades and walls of pink stone. It is one of the most important colonial cities of Mexico and has been declared the World Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Here is will see the baroque facade and the neo-classic interior of its magnificent Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas, the Palacio de Gobierno, the Palace of Clavijero, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe (or San Diego) with its magnificent baroque décor. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Restaurante Los Mirasoles located in the downtown area, to enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful city.

Day 7  Friday, February 12, 2021 Morelia to Mexico City

This morning depart for Mexico City with a stop along the way in Toluca. Here we will visit the stunning and unique Cosmovitral Jardín Botánico. Originally built in 1909 as a marketplace, today is the home of many gardens, all lit through 48 stained-glass panels designed by the Tolucan artist ~ Leopoldo Flores, with the help of 60 artisans. These 500,000 pieces of glass come in 28 different colours from seven countries, including Japan, Belgium and Italy. Enjoy! End this day in Mexico City with your special farewell dinner at Villa Maria Restaurant

Day 8  Saturday, February 13, 2021 International flight home

Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Teotihuacan Pyramids

Day 9  Saturday, February 13, 2021 Guadalupe and Teotihuacan Pyramids

Today depart towards the Basilica of Guadalupe, the most famous sanctuary in Mexico located on Tepeyac Hill, dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, close to where Our Lady appeared to an indigenous Mexican. This is an important pilgrimage site and is one of the most visited churches in the world. The original image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is impressed on the cloak of Saint Juan Diego that is now on display within the church.  Here you can admire from the square, the old temple dating the 16th century which raises itself on mount Tepeyac and the old basilica built in the 18th century. See the Place of the Three Cultures where the three periods of the Mexican History are recognized, reflected by the architecture in the centre Plaza ~ The pre-hispanic, the colonial and the modern periods. 

After lunch, we will continue on to the great Teotihuacan Pyramids (Place of the Gods) situated 53 km northeast from Mexico City.

Here we will tour the archaeological site where the culture of Teotihuacan first appeared and developed. Discovery of the temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Pyramid of the Sun, the Palacio de Quetzalpapálotl and the Pyramid of the Moon from where you will have a magnificent view on the Avenue of the Deaths.

Day 10 Sunday, February 14, 2021 International flight home

The availability of all services is guaranteed upon confirmation of the first deposit.  Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road conditions, flight schedules, and hotel availability and the number of travelling participants. Therefore, quoted rates might change accordingly.

Booking Conditions

Applications and Confirmation: ALL Travel Your World documents as 1) Application, 2) signed Waiver & Release, 3) Payment Agreements, and 4) Insurance Waiver Form or request for Insurance must be completed in full and handed in by the due date to ensure your place and confirmation.

All deposits are to be made to Travel Your World as per your Payment Agreement. Your first deposit is non-refundable by TYW.

Late Payments

All payments 1 – 15 days past due will result in a 10% late payment penalty. All payments 16 – 29 days past due will result in a 15% late payment penalty. If the scheduled payment and penalty amount(s) are not received within 30 days from the scheduled payment date, TYW assumes the participant will not be travelling and refunds will be subject to Travel Your World’s cancellation policy. Should the participant still wish to travel on the tour, this must be communicated clearly in a written format to Travel Your World and the full outstanding amount(s) plus penalties must be paid within 24 hours of providing notice.  Please visit for our full Terms & Conditions.

Mandatory Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is not included in your quoted tour package, however, it is mandatory for all TYW customized tours. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR INSURANCE with Travel Your World International Ltd. and Manulife Insurance,  with the exception of the Visitors Plans that include Emergency Medical Insurance, you must be a resident of Canada and covered under a government health insurance plan for the entire duration of the trip.  

Please note you will NOT eligible for coverage if:
a) you have been advised by a physician not to travel; and/or
b) you have been diagnosed with a terminal illness with less than 6 months to live; and/or
c) you have a kidney condition requiring dialysis; and/or
d) you have used home oxygen during the 12 months prior to the date of application.
