Morocco is a world apart, with a character all of its own.

Medieval alleys of ancient medinas, packed with donkeys and traders. Elegant boulevards &  sophisticated cities to mud-built forts towering over Saharan dunes with Berber villages dotted along the Atlas Mountain range.

Explore, enjoy and relax as you complete your experience with a taste of Morocco including the aromatic slow-cooked tagine, a national speciality.


Day 1  –  International flight to Casablanca

Depart from your gateway of choice for your international flight to Casablanca.

Day 2 Rabat

Overnight: Rabat Meals: D

Bonjour Casablanca! Arrive at Mohamed V Airport. Meet your TYW representative for your private transfer to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. 

Day 3 Rabat to Fes

Overnight: Fes Meals: BD

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Rabat ~ the charming city with its historical heritage, see the famous Hassan tower, the old minaret mosque built by Yacoub el-Mansour. Later, continue inland to Meknes and visit Jamai Palace, a big residence constructed in the last age and converted recently to a museum of superb silversmithing pieces. Bab el Mansour, one of the most famous northern African gates that represented Moulay Ismaïl and the coronation of his work as a founder. You will also discover the old imperial city, Moulay Ismaïl Palace, its stables, Héri Es Souani.   Late in the afternoon, continue towards Fes, the spiritual and intellectual city of Morocco.  

Day 4 Volubilis

Overnight: Fes Meals: BD

After breakfast visit of the Roman site of Volubilis and its famous mosaic classified as a worldwide inheritance by UNESCO & the saintly city of Moulay Idriss which terraces its white and cubic houses on two rocky spurs. It is an important place of pilgrimage, as it shelters the shrine of Moulay Idriss, the founder of the Idrissides dynasty. End this day with a visit to a renowned vineyard. 

Day 5 Fes

Overnight: Fes Meals: BD

Today, you will discover a city founded by Moulay Idriss II in 800 AC, it is the most ancient among all the imperial cities. Visit Bab Bou Jeloud, the monumental gate leading to médersé Attarîn and Bou Inania, known by the richness of its interior decoration, to the apogee of marinid art, the place and Nejjarine fountain and the Andalus area. Walk in the souk (Traditional market) with the fragrant and multicoloured spices, boilermaker souk who drums on boiler works and trays and chisel, teapots and vases, dry cleaners souk. Tanners area with a strong smell, where the big leather is coloured offering an impressive spectacle. 

Day 6 Atlas Mountains to Errachidia

Overnight: Errachidia Meals: BD

It is a long, but beautiful day as you drive across the famous cedar forest, to the alpine-style resort of Ifrane, founded in the 1930s, through Azrou (the Moroccan Little Suisse) south of the Middle Atlas, through rocky plateau into Midelt, capital of the Moroccan carpets.  Midelt ~ The city of Rocks and the centre of Morocco, located on the high plains between the middle and the high Atlas Mountain range. Well known for its tremendous Moroccan Berber Tagine cuisine.  It is here you will find great markets where the farmers produce a variety of fruit such as pomegranates, walnuts, apples, plums and apricots, as well as wonderful wool products and a large range of local handicrafts.  Continuation south to Errachidia, formerly known as “Ksar Es Souk” the city was renamed Errachidia around 1975 in honour of the second son of Hassan II, Moulay Rachid., the birthplace of the Alaouite’s royal family dynasty. 

Day 7 Erfoud to Merzouga Dunes

Overnight: Merzouga Dunes Meals: BD

This morning depart for Merzouga, via Erfoud, for a visit to the lovely oasis town located in the Sahara Desert.

Continue your adventure to Merzouga with an overnight at a Berber Desert Camp ~ Head out into the dunes by camel to sleep like a Bedouin in the Sahara Desert. Drink mint tea, eat delicious traditional fare, and listen to stories about life under the desert sun, then climb to the top of the dunes for unforgettable views at sunset. Enjoy a quiet night sleeping beneath the starry desert skies.

Day 8 Zagora

Overnight: Zagora Meals: BD

This morning enjoy your camel ride at sunrise. After breakfast continue as you drive across the desert and oases to reach Zagora. Named after the nearby mountain, Zagora was once a stronghold of the Almoravid people, and their legacy can still be seen in the surrounding hills. With few signs of modernization, it’s a great place to experience traditional Moroccan life in outstanding scenery among some incredibly unique sites, palm trees and gardens filled with over 40 different types of dates.

Day 9 Ouarzazate

Overnight: Ouarzazate Meals: BD

Continue today to Ouarzazate, (the film capital of Morocco) through the Draa Valley with its skours or walled adobe villages, oasis and palm groves.  The name Ouarzazate comes from the Amazigh for ‘quiet place’, and compared to many of its fellow Moroccan towns and cities, there is a certain calm to be found here. Inside its walls, you’ll find new hotels and complexes, plus film studios which have made the most of their photogenic location.

Movies filmed in Ouarzazate: Mission Impossible ~ Rogue Nation, The Prince of Persia, Babel, Alexander, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, The Man who would be King, Lawrence of Arabia…

Day 10 – Marrakech

Overnight: Marrakech Meals: BD

This morning your tour takes you to visit the Kasbah de Taourirt, a citadel set against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. As far as fortifications are concerned in Morocco, this is one of the most impressive of its kind. With almost 300 rooms and a true maze of passageways, steps, and key lock doors, it’s easy to feel lost within this immense structure that only connects to the outside world through a narrow entrance doorway.

Continue on to the UNESCO World Heritage of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a traditional administrative building made from mud and straw and is considered to be among the most impressive of its kind. End this day driving across the high Atlas mountain range by its highest road pass, the Tizi N Tichka where it leads to more dramatic and different landscapes, from the mountains to a tapestry of red ochre. You may recognize Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, from the Games of Thrones. In the late afternoon, arrive in the red-coloured imperial city of Marrakech, the most fascinating of all Moroccan cities.  

Day 11 – Marrakech

Overnight: Marrakech Meals: BD

Today enjoy your guided walking tour of Medina (old town) including the Bahia Palace (Palace of the beautiful, the brilliant). This nineteenth-century palace covers eight hectares and is one of the masterpieces of Moroccan architecture. The rest of the day is yours to explore the magical Red City of Marrakech and her souks. These souks (or markets) are the markets that have provided Marrakchia with all their needs for over one thousand years. Vibrant colours, rich aromas, music, art, merchants in djellabas, street chefs in white hats, whatever you can imagine of the exotic is what you can find in Marrakech.

Day 12 – Marrakech

Overnight: Marrakech Meals: B

A relaxing day to enjoy your surroundings or maybe take in some Christmas shopping.

*Optional Experience:  After a relaxing morning, prepare for your private Culinary workshop. Today you will learn & prepare your lunch, taught by a Moroccan chef.  The remainder of the day is yours to explore and play.

*Arrangement can be made to experience a hammam ~ a traditional Moroccan ritual

Day 13 – Essaouira

Overnight: Essaouira Meals: BD

This morning depart for Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage site and your seaside resort, located on the windy Atlantic coast.  Swerah, as locals call it, or by its old Portuguese name Mogador, is well known for its wind, bright colours & many artists. With its long beach, calm harbour and friendly locals, Essaouria has developed into one of the more tranquil spots in Morocco. Fun Fact: If you are a Game of Thrones fan, you will recognize Essaouira as the backdrop from where Daenerys Targaryen purchased her army of Unsullied soldiers.

Day 14 – Marrakech

Overnight: Marrakech Meals: BD

A relaxing day to enjoy your surroundings or maybe take in some last-minute shopping or just hang out by the pool. 

*Optional Experience: A visit to the Association for Women in Crisis where we learn the secret recipe of Moroccan pastries during our culinary class. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant owned & managed by the Association for Women in Crisis where we can also enjoy the best views in town.   *Arrangement can be made to experience a hammam ~ a traditional Moroccan ritual

Return to Marrakech for your last night.

Day 15 – International flight to Canada

Overnight: Marrakech Meals: B

Departure Flight Home.

This is a quotation only and neither reservations for services nor hotel bookings have been made. The availability of all services is guaranteed upon confirmation of the first deposit.  Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road conditions, flight schedules, and hotel availability and the number of travelling participants. Therefore, quoted rates might change accordingly.

Booking Conditions

Applications and Confirmation: ALL Travel Your World documents as 1) Application, 2) signed Waiver & Release, 3) Payment Agreements, and 4) Insurance Waiver Form or request for Insurance must be completed in full and handed in by the due date to ensure your place and confirmation.

All deposits are to be made to Travel Your World as per your Payment Agreement. Your first deposit is non-refundable by TYW.

Late Payments

All payments 1 – 15 days past due will result in a 10% late payment penalty. All payments 16 – 29 days past due will result in a 15% late payment penalty. If the scheduled payment and penalty amount(s) are not received within 30 days from the scheduled payment date, TYW assumes the participant will not be travelling and refunds will be subject to Travel Your World’s cancellation policy. Should the participant still wish to travel on the tour, this must be communicated clearly in a written format to Travel Your World and the full outstanding amount(s) plus penalties must be paid within 24 hours of providing notice.  Please visit for our full Terms & Conditions.

Mandatory Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is not included in your quoted tour package, however, it is mandatory for all TYW customized tours. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR INSURANCE with Travel Your World International Ltd. and Manulife Insurance,  with the exception of the Visitors Plans that include Emergency Medical Insurance, you must be a resident of Canada and covered under a government health insurance plan for the entire duration of the trip.  

Please note you will NOT eligible for coverage if:
a) you have been advised by a physician not to travel; and/or
b) you have been diagnosed with a terminal illness with less than 6 months to live; and/or
c) you have a kidney condition requiring dialysis; and/or
d) you have used home oxygen during the 12 months prior to the date of application.
